Role description
Key Responsibilities
- Fiori impact assessment for S/4HANA 2023 upgrade, including identification of deprecated, changed, or obsolete Fiori apps and components
- Migrate and remediate standard and custom SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, ensuring compatibility with S/4HANA 2023
- Adapt existing Fiori apps to align with:
- Updated SAPUI5 versions
- S/4HANA data model and simplification items
- New Fiori UX standards
- Support Fiori Launchpad configuration, including catalogs, groups/spaces, tiles, and roles during post‑upgrade stabilization
- Work closely with ABAP, Basis, and functional teams to resolve issues arising from backend changes, CDS view adjustments, or OData service modifications
- Perform unit, integration, and regression testing of Fiori apps post‑upgrade and support defect resolution
- Document migration outcomes, technical changes, and known limitations; support production cutover and hypercare activities
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 experience, with hands‑on work in S/4HANA environments
- Proven experience supporting S/4HANA upgrades or migrations, preferably across multi‑release upgrades
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, OData services and CDS views
- Experience with Fiori app lifecycle management, including adaptation, extension, and retirement decisions
- Understanding of SAP Simplification Item List, Fiori reference library, and SAP upgrade implications
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in upgrade‑driven, time‑bound programs
