Role description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Patch Engineer to support enterprise endpoint security and vulnerability remediation initiatives. The role involves analyzing vulnerabilities, testing and deploying software updates, managing patch compliance, and ensuring timely remediation of security risks across workstation and server environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in BigFix, patching, and vulnerability management, along with experience supporting Windows or Unix environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze vulnerability scan reports and identify affected systems, applications, and software components.
- Investigate, validate, and remediate security vulnerabilities across enterprise endpoints.
- Perform workstation and server patching activities to reduce organizational cyber risk.
- Manage patch deployment, compliance monitoring, and remediation activities using BigFix.
- Research vendor security advisories, release notes, and remediation guidance to determine appropriate fixes.
- Test software updates and patches in lower environments to ensure functionality, compatibility, and security before deployment.
- Validate successful remediation through follow-up scans and compliance reporting.
- Troubleshoot patching issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve deployment failures.
- Collaborate with Information Security, Infrastructure, Application Support, and Endpoint Management teams to meet remediation SLAs.
- Document testing results, remediation procedures, deployment recommendations, and known issues.
- Monitor emerging vulnerabilities, security advisories, and critical threats requiring urgent patch deployments.
- Support incident response activities related to critical and zero-day vulnerabilities.

Experience
- 6+ years of experience in enterprise patch management, endpoint engineering, vulnerability remediation, or related areas.
- Strong experience working with enterprise endpoint environments and patch compliance processes.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
Shift
- 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST (Monday to Friday)
