Job Summary
Transind Power Technologies is looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager to oversee the overall manufacturing operations and business performance of the company.
The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Distribution Transformer Manufacturing, with proven expertise in production, quality, engineering, procurement, stores, maintenance, manpower management, cost control, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise overall plant operations.
- Plan and achieve monthly and annual production targets.
- Ensure timely production and dispatch of Distribution Transformers.
- Monitor production efficiency, productivity, rejection and rework.
- Coordinate Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchase, Stores and Maintenance departments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable transformer standards and customer specifications.
- Control manufacturing costs, material wastage and operational expenses.
- Monitor inventory and ensure timely availability of critical raw materials.
- Manage and develop production and technical teams.
- Resolve major production, quality and customer-related issues.
- Monitor supplier performance and material quality.
- Improve plant capacity utilization and operational efficiency.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Prepare and review management MIS and operational reports.
- Ensure workplace safety and statutory compliance.
- Support senior management in business planning, expansion and profitability improvement.
Required Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Diploma candidates with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Distribution Transformer Industry.
- Strong experience in Distribution Transformer manufacturing and plant operations.
- Previous experience as Plant Head / Factory Head / Operations Head / General Manager will be preferred.
