- Provide strategic vision and leadership for the establishment and growth of the College of Emerging Technologies.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan, including academic programs, research initiatives, and faculty development, aligned with the institution's mission and emerging technology trends.
- Oversee the design, development, and accreditation of innovative undergraduate and graduate programs in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and other future-oriented technologies.
- Faculty Recruitment & Development - Recruit 5 exceptional Department Chairs and lead recruitment of 60-70 faculty members over 5 years · Research Strategy & Infrastructure - Develop research agenda aligned with National Quantum Mission and Digital India priorities · Academic Programs & Student Success - Oversee launch and quality of B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. programs across all departments ·
- Accreditation & Rankings - Lead NAAC A++ accreditation, ensure NBA accreditation, position QUASAR in NIRF top rankings · Industry & Government Partnerships - Build strategic partnerships with Google, Microsoft, IBM, NVIDIA, and government agencies
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a diverse and highly qualified faculty and staff, fostering a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Promote and support interdisciplinary research and scholarly activities within the college and across the university, securing external funding and grants.
- Cultivate strong relationships with industry partners, government agencies, alumni, and other stakeholders to create experiential learning opportunities, secure resources, and ensure program relevance.
- Manage the college's budget, resources, and facilities effectively and efficiently, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Represent the college and the institution at local, national, and international forums, enhancing its reputation and visibility in emerging technologies.
- Lead fundraising efforts and secure philanthropic support to advance the college's mission and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all institutional policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster an inclusive and equitable environment that supports the success and well-being of all students, faculty, and staff.
- Industry & Government Partnerships - Build strategic partnerships with Google, Microsoft, IBM, NVIDIA, and government agencies.
- Resource Management & Sustainability - Work with University leadership on budget, resource allocation, and financial planning.
- Qualifications · Ph.D. in Computer Science, Quantum Engineering, AI/ML, Robotics, or related field from top-tier global institutions ·
- 15-20 years in academia and/or leading industrial research labs, with 7-10 years in senior leadership · Proven institutional builder with experience establishing departments and research centers ·
- High H-index with publications in top venues (Nature, Science, Physical Review, NeurIPS, ICML) .
- Track record securing major research grants (cumulative 20+ crores).
- Experience mentoring 15+ doctoral students to successful careers.
- Mastery of Indian higher education: NAAC, NIRF, NBA accreditation.
