Job Description
Key Responsibilities: 1. Month-End and Year-End Close Support and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure timely journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Coordinate with various teams (AP, AR, Tax, Treasury) for accurate closing. 2. General Ledger Management Monitor and review entries posted to the General Ledger (GL). Ensure proper account reconciliations and documentation. Resolve discrepancies and ensure financial data integrity. 3. Financial Reporting Assist in preparing accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Support internal and external reporting requirements (corporate, statutory, audit). Assist in variance analysis and commentary on financial results. 4. Compliance and Controls Ensure all R2R activities comply with internal controls, accounting policies (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and regulatory requirements. Support internal/external audits with required documentation. Participate in testing and monitoring of internal controls (SOX compliance, if applicable). 5. Team Leadership and Support Allocate tasks and monitor progress of junior R2R team members. Provide guidance and support in handling complex accounting scenarios. Assist in training and onboarding new team members. Promote accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration within the team. 6. Process Improvement & Automation Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks in R2R processes. Recommend improvements and support implementation of automation tools or ERP enhancements. Participate in R2R transformation or standardization projects. 7. Interdepartmental Collaboration Liaise with finance teams (FP&A, Tax, Treasury), business units, and external stakeholders. Ensure accurate data flow across sub-ledgers and modules (AP, AR, FA). 8. Learning and Development (Trainee Focus) Participate actively in management trainee programs and cross-functional projects. Learn best practices in corporate finance and leadership. Develop the ability to take on larger roles in controllership or financial management
