Ciklum is looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:
As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, you will become an integral part of a high-performing, cross-functional Agile development team. Utilizing your deep expertise in JavaScript and React, you will own the frontend execution of the Client's Project, building intuitive, high-performance, and data-rich user interfaces.
Your work will directly empower users to interact with "Next-generation building decarbonization and operational energy management" tools, turning complex environmental data into clear, actionable visual insights.
Responsibilities:

Frontend Development & Execution:

UI/UX Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly responsive user interfaces for the Client's Project platform using modern React and JavaScript

Roadmap Delivery: Actively execute the frontend development lifecycle to deliver the platform’s "Future Roadmap" milestones on time and to specification

Code Excellence: Ensure exceptional code quality, performance, and cross-browser compatibility by following modern frontend engineering best practices

Domain & Data Visualization:

Decarbonization Interfaces: Craft complex, intuitive dashboards that support the project's core mission of driving building decarbonization and optimal energy management

Advanced Data Visualization: Develop rich frontend components that allow users to interact smoothly with dense data streams—such as tracking Net-Zero project impacts, reviewing investment-ready plans, and benchmarking real-world building performance against optimal simulations

Agile Collaboration:

Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with a dedicated, Pune-based Agile team comprising backend engineers, product owners, and QA professionals

Technical Problem Solving: Drive technical problem-solving on the frontend, contribute to architecture discussions, and actively participate in code reviews and sprint ceremonies
Requirements:

Experience: 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a heavy focus on enterprise-level web applications

Core Tech Stack: Expert-level mastery of JavaScript and React (including state management, hooks, and modern frontend ecosystems)

Delivery Focus: Proven track record of taking complex UI designs from concept to production, successfully delivering comprehensive platform roadmaps
Desirable:

Product Mission Alignment: A genuine interest or prior experience in Sustainability Tech, climate tech, or building energy management software

Sustainability Interfaces: Familiarity with designing or developing data-heavy interfaces that track Net-Zero project impacts, display financial/investment-ready plans, or map real-world data against benchmarked simulations
