Manufacturing and Quality Technical Hub Hyderabad

This hub will oversee the significant investment in contract manufacturing and the technical services responsible for managing the scientific agenda for manufacturing and quality. Job Description
Role Overview and Key Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for all supply chain activities related to the support of external manufacturing as defined in the Global Contract Manufacturing Standards. The Supply Chain Associate acts as process leader for one or more Contract Manufacturer (CM) relationships, serving as a member of the Joint Process Team (JPT) with accountability for oversight across the supply chain for the supply of Lilly dry products from the CM. The role encompasses forecast, planning, data maintenance, capacity management, order management, and stakeholder communication.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Review product demand and develop monthly demand consolidation and forecasts.
- Partner with the Supply Chain team to drive an appropriate S&OP process with the CM and manage inputs into Lilly internal S&OP processes.
- Manage supply, batch release, and shipment schedules to ensure supply meets customer needs and CM functions can plan appropriate resources.
- Define, track, and ensure customer service targets for products are set and met.
- Use OSSCE processes and metrics to analyze supply chain performance, define root causes, drive improvement, and maintain OSSCE Class A performance.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and lead inventory target creation, review, and management of slow-moving/obsolete inventory.
- Serve as a liaison with Global Procurement, Global Materials, Suppliers, Manufacturing, and/or Service Providers for procurement coordination.
- Perform tasks in SAP (e.g., Create Purchase Orders, review inventory, manage procurement master data requests).
- Support/own investigations and change controls for deviations in the JPTs as required.
- Assist Quality personnel in the timely completion of Quality Agreement reviews as necessary.
- Make regular communication with and visits to External Manufacturers to maintain strong working relationships.
- Participate in Technical Transfer Projects as required; collaborate with Technical Project Manager to ensure appropriate supply chain governance.
- Conduct product supply risk assessments and develop action plans to mitigate supply disruption.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field with relevant experience in a regulated manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 8 years in supply chain management or a relevant area requiring inventory and supply chain management for global companies
- Good understanding of Lilly planning tools and systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis).
- Good understanding of cGMPs.
- Good communication skills, especially attention to detail in written procedures and protocol development.
- High degree of curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; capable of working in a virtual and complex environment.
- Willingness to travel and appreciation for cultural diversity.
- Ability to represent Eli Lilly's mission, policies, and practices in a positive, professional, and ethical manner.
Additional Preferences:
- Experience with SAP supply chain processes.
- APICS certification or equivalent supply chain qualification.
- Experience with S&OP processes in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Other Information:
- At least 10% travel primarily within India and occasional international travel.
