Key responsibilities:
- Perform microbial analysis of raw materials, hold time samples, finished products, and stability samples in compliance with established procedures.
- Conduct sampling and microbiological testing of various types of water (e.g., purified water, potable water, etc.).
- Prepare agar plates and plan/execute environmental monitoring activities for air in Production, Dispensing, Sampling areas, and the Microbiology Laboratory.
- Perform microbial assays for antibiotics and vitamins as per standard protocols.
- Handle, operate, and ensure calibration and maintenance of microbiology laboratory instruments.
- Ensure timely data entry, raw data compilation, and reporting in LIMS, along with completion of routine sample analysis.
- Prepare and sterilize culture media and laboratory glassware following SOPs.
- Maintain and handle microbial cultures, including proper storage and periodic sub-culturing.
- Prepare media as per requirements and maintain logbooks for preparation and sterilization, including verification using chemical indicator strips.
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to routine microbiology activities as per regulatory requirements.
- Prepare analytical reports on time and submit them to the Section In-Charge for review and timely release.
- Perform daily verification/qualification checks of laboratory instruments.
- Monitor and manage inventory of media and chemical reagents, including checking expiry dates and receiving logs.
- Record and monitor environmental conditions, including temperature, relative humidity, and differential pressure.
- Carry out fumigation of the Microbiology Laboratory as per defined procedures.
- Perform MLT Validation (Water /fg/RM).
- QMS related activities ,Protocol preparation and supporting overall microbiology laboratory operations.
