About the Role
Speeki AI Language Academy is looking for smart, empathetic and accountable Student Mentors to support students throughout their German language learning journey.
The Student Mentor will be assigned specific batches and will act as the primary point of contact for students, ensuring regular communication, academic support, engagement and smooth progression from one level to the next.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong rapport and maintain regular communication with assigned students.
- Keep students updated on portions completed, upcoming classes, assessments and academic activities.
- Understand students' academic and personal concerns and provide timely support.
- Identify students who need additional academic or emotional support.
- Coordinate with faculty and the academic team to address student concerns.
- Track student engagement, attendance and overall progress.
- Ensure students remain connected and motivated throughout their course.
- Handle recurring conversions from:
- A1 → A2
- A2 → B1
- B1 → B2
- Engage with students before batch completion and facilitate their enrollment into the next level.
- Earn additional incentives based on successful recurring conversions.
- Maintain accurate student and conversion records.
Requirements
- Prior experience in student mentoring, academic coordination, counseling or customer relationship management is preferred.
- Prior knowledge of German is an advantage, particularly familiarity with the A1–B2 learning structure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic, approachable and student-focused.
- Good follow-up and relationship-management skills.
- Accountable, proactive and target-oriented.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and Google Sheets.
- Personal laptop preferred, especially for online positions.
