Job Summary
The Professional Development Faculty will be responsible for enhancing students' English language proficiency, communication skills, soft skills, and overall employability. The role involves conducting training sessions, mentoring students, and preparing them for academic, professional, and placement success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classes on Spoken English, Business Communication, and Professional Writing.
- English Language Training
- Improve students' grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency.
- Develop students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
- Conduct language proficiency assessments and provide feedback.
Skill Development Training
- Deliver training programs on soft skills, personality development, and professional etiquette.
- Conduct sessions on presentation skills, public speaking, teamwork, leadership, and time management.
- Train students for Group Discussions (GDs), Personal Interviews (PIs), and HR interviews.
- Guide students in resume writing, email etiquette, and workplace communication.
Student Mentoring
- Mentor students to improve confidence, communication effectiveness, and professional behavior.
- Identify skill gaps and provide focused coaching.
- Conduct mock interviews and presentation evaluations.
Assessment & Documentation
- Design and conduct assessments, assignments, and training evaluations.
- Maintain student performance records and progress reports.
- Prepare training materials, worksheets, and learning resources.
Institutional Responsibilities
- Organize workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and skill enhancement activities.
- Coordinate with academic departments and the Training & Placement Cell for student development initiatives.
- Participate in institutional events and academic activities as assigned.
Qualification
- Master's Degree in English, Communication, Linguistics, Education, or a related discipline.
- Certification in Soft Skills, Corporate Training, Personality Development, or Communication Skills will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in English language training, soft skills training, or skill development programs.
- Experience in Engineering Colleges, Universities, Training Institutes, or Corporate Learning & Development environments is preferred.
Required Skills
