The organisation is transitioning from R&D to commercial deployment and is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Assembly Engineer to support the assembly and integration of complex process systems.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Chemical Process Simulation Engineer with hands-on experience in OpenModelica/Modelica to develop, validate, and maintain dynamic and steady-state process simulation models. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and process equipment modeling.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
* Hands-on experience with OpenModelica/Modelica
* Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
* Experience modeling process equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, turbines, packed beds, and storage tanks
* Familiarity with Equation of State (Peng-Robinson, SRK, Ideal Gas, etc.)
* Ability to troubleshoot simulation convergence and initialization issues
* Experience extracting and analyzing simulation results
Preferred
* Experience with Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, gPROMS, or Dymola
* Python/OMPython scripting
* Knowledge of Git, FMI/FMU, and process control modeling
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain process simulation models in OpenModelica
* Build and customize equipment models and thermodynamic property packages
* Validate models using plant data and engineering calculations
* Collaborate with process engineers to translate P&IDs into simulation models
* Troubleshoot numerical and convergence issues
* Document models and maintain reusable simulation libraries
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
