Job Summary
The Port Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising import shipment operations at the port, ensuring smooth customs clearance, timely cargo movement, and compliance with port and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise import shipment handling at the port from vessel arrival to cargo dispatch.
- Coordinate with CHA, shipping lines, port authorities, transporters, warehouses, and internal teams.
- Monitor customs clearance and ensure timely completion of documentation.
- Arrange vehicle placement and cargo movement to the warehouse/plant.
- Track shipment status and resolve operational issues to avoid delays.
- Verify shipping documents, delivery orders, invoices, packing lists, and gate passes.
- Ensure compliance with port regulations, customs procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain daily reports on shipment status, demurrage, detention, and cargo movement.
- Coordinate with the procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams for smooth material receipt.
- Support audits and maintain accurate records of import operations.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline (Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Shipping preferred).
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in import operations, port handling, or logistics.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance, and port operations.
- Experience coordinating with CHA, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transporters.
- Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet shipment deadlines.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Experience:
