Required Skills & Experience
- Good hands-on experience in operating Surface Grinding Machines.
- Practical knowledge of surface grinding operations and processes.
- Ability to set and operate surface grinding machines as per drawing and specifications.
- Good knowledge of grinding wheels, dressing, and basic machine settings.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and dimensions.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
- Ability to maintain required accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional tolerances.
- Basic knowledge of tool room activities and precision machining.
- Good understanding of machine safety procedures and workplace practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate surface grinding machines for tool room and precision machining requirements.
- Perform grinding operations as per engineering drawings and specified dimensions.
- Set up the machine, grinding wheel, and workpiece appropriately.
- Carry out wheel dressing and ensure proper grinding conditions.
- Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Follow production schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the Tool Room and Quality teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of jobs.
