- Electrical Safety Audits and Inspections:
- Conduct regular electrical safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify hazards related to electrical systems and equipment and recommend corrective actions.
- Safety Procedures and Standards:
- Develop, implement, and maintain electrical safety procedures, policies, and practices based on current laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Review and update safety standards as necessary to ensure continuous compliance with evolving safety norms.
- Risk Assessments:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify electrical hazards and determine mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate risks associated with electrical work and prepare reports on safety measures.
- Training and Awareness Programs:
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees, focusing on electrical safety practices and emergency response.
- Prepare and deliver training materials, ensuring that workers understand and follow electrical safety protocols.
- Compliance Monitoring:
- Ensure all electrical installations and activities comply with relevant local, state, and national electrical safety regulations.
- Ensure electrical safety audits meet the requirements of ISO standards, local safety guidelines, and any company-specific safety policies.
- Incident Investigation:
- Investigate electrical incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports and ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken.
- Electrical Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure regular maintenance schedules for electrical systems are adhered to, ensuring safe and proper operation.
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure that safety protocols are followed during electrical equipment servicing and repair.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- Review and ensure that appropriate electrical personal protective equipment (PPE) is available and used during work.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with PPE usage for electrical safety.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain records of safety audits, training, inspections, and incidents for compliance and continuous improvement purposes.
- Report to senior management on the status of electrical safety programs, highlighting areas of concern and improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and safety officers to implement electrical safety measures across all work sites.
- Act as the point of contact for any electrical safety-related issues or queries within the organization.
