About the Role
MSR Aqua Industries is looking for a sincere, responsible, and detail-oriented Chemist to join our team.
This role combines laboratory responsibilities with documentation and office administration. While laboratory testing is an important part of the job, the candidate should also be comfortable handling documentation, maintaining records, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day office operations.
ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Responsibilities
- Perform routine water quality testing as required.
- Conduct chemical analysis such as pH, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, chlorides, residual chlorine, and other required water quality parameters.
- Maintain laboratory records and testing reports.
- Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness and follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collect water samples from different stages of production.
- Assist during internal quality checks, BIS/FSSAI inspections, and government audits.
Documentation & Office Administration
- Maintain laboratory records, registers, and quality documentation.
- Prepare reports using MS Word and MS Excel.
- Maintain SOPs, inspection files, and compliance documents.
- Upload, organize, and maintain digital records.
- Handle filing, printing, scanning, and document organization.
- Send and respond to basic professional emails.
- Assist with attendance records and other basic office administration work.
- Coordinate with management for documentation required during inspections and audits.
Eligibility
- B.Sc. Chemistry (Required)
- Candidates should have practical experience working as a Chemist through employment, internship, industrial training, or apprenticeship.
- Experience in packaged drinking water, beverage, food manufacturing, dairy, pharmaceutical, or other manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of water chemistry and laboratory procedures.
- Knowledge of pH, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, chlorides, residual chlorine, and related testing methods.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Word, MS Excel, email communication, uploading documents, printing, scanning, and maintaining digital records.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle both laboratory work and office administration.
Additional Preference
- Preference will be given to candidates residing near porur, chennai or those willing to relocate closer to the workplace for long-term employment.
