Purpose Of The Position
A Purchase Executive in the furniture manufacturing industry plays a crucial role in the procurement and supply chain process.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Sourcing Suppliers: Researching and identifying potential suppliers for raw materials, components, and furniture accessories.
Price Negotiation: Negotiating prices, terms, and agreements with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals while maintaining quality standards.
Order Processing: Creating purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in product specifications, quantities, and delivery dates.
Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations, optimizing warehouse space.
Quality Assurance: Collaborating with quality control teams to ensure purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications.
Documentation: Maintaining records of purchases, agreements, invoices, and supplier information for reference and auditing purposes.
Vendor Relationship Management: Building and nurturing relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues or disputes.
Market Analysis: Keeping abreast of market trends, product innovations, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
Cost Analysis: Analyzing and comparing supplier prices, evaluating cost-saving opportunities, and recommending cost-effective alternatives.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in procurement practices.
Work Experience & Skills
Total Experience: Min 2 years
- Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar procurement role within the furniture industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A solid understanding of the furniture manufacturing industry, including knowledge of materials, suppliers, and market dynamics, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as basic knowledge of the furniture manufacturing process.
- The ability to analyze data, market trends, and supplier performance to make informed decisions.
- Efficiently managing multiple tasks, orders, and deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry trends and supplier networks.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability.
Pay: ₹10,806.31 - ₹37,221.95 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pandesara, Surat, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
