Job Description: Junior/Senior Office Assistant (Institution/College/School)
Position Overview
The Junior/Senior Office Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth functioning of the institution’s office. In addition to general office duties, the role includes responsibility for student fees collection, record maintenance, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
i) Administrative Support
- Maintain office records, files, and databases (digital & physical).
- Draft, type, and circulate official correspondence, notices, and circulars.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
ii) Student & Faculty Services
- Handle student queries related to admissions, examinations, certificates, and fee payments.
- Support faculty with documentation, timetables, and departmental coordination.
- Fees Collection & Financial Duties
- Collect tuition fees and other institutional charges from students/parents.
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate fee registers (manual and digital).
- Reconcile daily collections and prepare deposit slips for submission to accounts/finance office.
- Assist in preparing periodic financial reports for management and audits.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
iii) Office Operations
- Manage incoming/outgoing mail, phone calls, and emails.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of office equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required.
Qualifications
Junior / senior Assistant
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred: Administration, Commerce, or related field).
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, data entry).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- 0–2 years of experience in office or clerical work.
Senior Assistant
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with specialization in Administration, Commerce, or related field.
- Proficiency in office management software and institutional ERP systems.
- Experience in handling financial transactions and reporting.
- 3–5+ years of experience in administrative roles, preferably in education.
Skills & Competencies

Work Environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
