Role Overview
The Site Engineer will be primarily responsible for on-site project execution, supervision, quality control, contractor coordination, and progress monitoring. This is a highly execution-focused role requiring daily site presence and active involvement in construction activities.
This is not a desk-based role. The candidate will be expected to visit project sites daily, monitor ongoing work, coordinate with contractors and vendors, conduct inspections, and ensure that execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute civil and interior works as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct daily site visits and supervise ongoing construction activities.
- Prepare and manage work sequencing for civil, MEP, finishing, and interior activities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and contractor performance to ensure timely completion of work.
- Conduct quality inspections, identify execution issues, and ensure timely rectification of defects and deviations.
- Prepare, verify, and manage BOQs (Bill of Quantities), quantity measurements, and contractor billing records.
- Prepare DPRs (Daily Progress Reports), MOMs (Minutes of Meetings), site records, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Verify material quality, specifications, and consumption as per project requirements.
Monitor manpower deployment, resource utilization, and site productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, site discipline, and approved construction practices.
- Maintain updated drawings, approvals, inspection records, checklists, and handover documentation.
- Report project status, site challenges, delays, and corrective actions to management on a regular basis.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and interior drawings.
- Good understanding of architectural detailing, interior finishing standards, and design-oriented execution.
- Strong understanding of civil construction, interior execution, and finishing work.
- Understanding of BOQs, quantity estimation, measurements, billing processes, and cost monitoring.
- Hands-on experience in preparing and verifying BOQs (Bill of Quantities), DPRs (Daily Progress Reports), and MOMs (Minutes of Meetings).
- Ability to prepare site reports, progress trackers, quantity records, and project documentation accurately.
- Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project reporting formats.
Education
- B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering -Mandatory
- M.Tech in Civil Engineering-Additional
Software Skills
Must know:
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Microsoft Excel
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years to 5 years of relevant.
- Must have worked under an Architect/ Architecture & Interior Design Firm.
- Must have hands-on experience in architectural and interior project execution.
- Should have experience preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities), DPRs (Daily Progress Reports), MOMs (Minutes of Meetings), and project documentation.
- Must have experience in work sequencing, site execution, quality control, contractor coordination, and project monitoring.
- Experience in residential projects, luxury residential villas, private homes, hospitality projects, hospitals, and commercial developments is preferred.
- Candidates from infrastructure, road, industrial, or purely contractor-based execution backgrounds without exposure to architectural and interior projects will not be preferred.
Location
Siddharth Nagar, Jaipur
This is a full-time Job.
Candidates should be comfortable commuting to the various sites and project locations as and when required.
Timings: 10 AM-7 PM
Weekly off and holidays shall be as per the respective project site's working schedule. When the project site is closed for a holiday, the Site Engineer will also be entitled to that holiday.
