JOB SUMMARY
The Housekeeping Staff (Labour Chowk) is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation at the Labour Chowk premises. This role is critical to ensuring a dignified, safe, and healthy environment for construction workers. Maintain professional behaviour, ethical conduct, and respectful communication with staff, officials, and beneficiaries at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Daily Cleaning & Upkeep
- Daily cleaning of shed areas, seating arrangements, toilet blocks, and public utility spaces
- Ensure premises are ready before worker arrival in the morning
2. Sanitation & Hygiene Maintenance
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout operating hours
- Keep toilet blocks clean, dry, and odor-free
- Report plumbing or electrical issues to Supervisor immediately
3. Drinking Water & Consumables Management
- Refill drinking water containers multiple times a day
- Ensure soap, hand wash, phenyl, toilet cleaner, and dustbin liners are stocked
- Inform Supervisor 2 days in advance when supplies are low
4. Waste Management
- Collect all waste from Labour Chowk premises
- Segregate waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories
- Dispose of waste daily through municipal collection
5. Minor Maintenance & Operational Assistance
- Perform minor maintenance like sweeping waterlogged areas and rearranging benches
- Assist Supervisor during high-footfall hours
- Support public welfare activities by cleaning before and after events
6. Compliance & Reporting
- Report unhygienic practices by workers to Supervisor
- Follow all safety protocols while handling cleaning chemicals
7. REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Literate preferred (able to read basic Hindi labels)
- Experience: 1+ year in housekeeping or sanitation role
- Language: Fluent Hindi (mandatory)
- Physical: Able to stand, bend, walk, lift 15-20 kg
WORKING CONDITIONS
- 100% on-site at Labour Chowk
- Early morning start (1 hour before workers arrive)
- 6-day work week
KPIs
- Premises cleaned before worker arrival: Daily
- Toilet blocks cleaned: Minimum 4 times per day
- Drinking water available: Throughout operating hours
- Waste segregation & disposal: 100% daily
- Worker hygiene complaints: Zero
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
