Working Days: 6 Days a Week
Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of textile design, fabric development, color trends, and print creation for the fashion and garment industry. The candidate will work closely with the merchandising and production teams to develop innovative textile designs that meet buyer requirements and current market trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original textile prints, patterns, and surface designs.
- Develop seasonal collections based on fashion trends and buyer requirements.
- Prepare artwork and design files for sampling and production.
- Coordinate with merchandising, sampling, and production teams.
- Select suitable colors, fabrics, textures, and embellishments.
- Conduct market and trend research to develop new design concepts.
- Ensure designs meet quality standards and production feasibility.
- Maintain design archives and documentation.
- Revise and modify designs based on buyer feedback.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of textile printing, weaving, embroidery, and fabric development.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and other design software.
- Good understanding of color theory, repeat patterns, and fabric construction.
- Creative thinking with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in textile design, preferably in a garment export house or fashion industry.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with apparel textiles, home textiles, or printed fabrics.
- Knowledge of digital printing, screen printing, and embroidery techniques.
- Familiarity with international fashion trends and buyer requirements.
