- Customer-Centric Delivery: Define and deliver features and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible technical approaches available within the Android ecosystem.
- Feature Development: Deliver defined features, functionality, or outcomes from a designated part of the engineering program, utilizing Jetpack Compose (and legacy XML/View architectures where required) to create modern, responsive interfaces.
- Data-Driven Improvement: Research data from app performance (e.g., Android Vitals, crash logs, latency), customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for technical or functional improvement.
- Problem Solving: Explore issues or needs (such as performance bottlenecks or memory leaks), establishing potential causes and barriers, as well as related architectural issues.
- Project Execution: Execute the development plan for new app features, managing sprint schedules, identifying technical risks, and communicating progress to project stakeholders.
- Data Interpretation: Collect, analyze, and interpret datasets related to app usage and performance; identify patterns in the data to uncover user pain points and technical opportunities for improvement.
- Documentation: Edit technical documentation in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare release notes or API documentation for publication.
- Project Management: Work within an established Agile/Scrum project management plan to achieve specific sprint goals.
- Technical Advisory: Provide advice, training, and assistance to junior developers or clients to resolve complex queries and ensure the Android app’s capabilities are well understood.
- Product Demonstration: Demonstrate the most valuable features of the Android application; lead technical demos to show stakeholders the value of recent engineering updates.
- Professional Development: Develop own capabilities by participating in code reviews, development planning, and formal training (e.g., Google I/O updates); maintain an understanding of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and mobile best practices through ongoing education.
Skills
Required:
- Product Impact: Develops Android features to ensure the application achieves its full impact and value in the mobile market.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversees all stages of the feature lifecycle, from initial Kotlin architecture to Google Play Store submission, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
