- Ensure the sub-ordinates dispensing the drug as per the prescriptions / indents
appropriately to the concerns on time, check the date & signature of prescription before
dispensing and maintain zero error by double checking.
- Ensure the sub-ordinates gives proper advice to patients / attainders on the dosage of
medicines and the most appropriate form of medication ex. by tablet, injection,
ointment or inhaler etc.,
· Ensure the sub-ordinates inform the concerns about the side effect, correct dosage and
proper storage of the medicines prescribed.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates respond to the queries of the patients politely about the
probable side effects, benefits of the drug and interactions among different drugs.
- Ensure the sub-ordinates review prescriptions to assure accuracy, ascertain the
needed ingredients and evaluate the suitability.
- Ensure the sub-ordinates dispensing medications as prescribed by doctors by
calculating, weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates check the suitability of substitute brand for the non
availability of prescribed brand with the concern doctors before billing.
- Ensure the sub-ordinates maintains the prescription bounce register and to be
reported on a daily basis.
- Ensure the sub-ordinates conduct the physical stock verification on a daily basis of
atleast 25 items and submission of stock report accordingly.
- Ensure to maintain sufficient stock of emergency & other medicines and to be
responsible to avoid prescription bounce.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates check the availability of medicines in system stock as well as
physical with expiry date & batch no. tally and maintain the stock register.
· Ensure that the monthly stock audit report submit to the concerns on a monthly basis.
· Ensure the adequate stock maintenance and shortage / excess has to be monitored
periodically.
· Ensure the non moving items list maintained and to be submitted to stores periodically.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates adhere the physical stock verification done as per internal
transfer.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates hand over the short expiry drugs of below 90 days to stores on monthly basis for replacement as per FEFO.
· Ensure to do the sales return for partial returned items from patients, wrongly billed &
unpaid bills and the details to be maintained.
· Ensure to maintain standard TAT for each prescription and manage crowd as per FIFO.
- Ensure the temperature of the storage area is well maintained and monitored regularly.
· Ensure the working condition of the computers and printers provided to the department on a daily basis and escalate the issues to the concerns immediately.
· Ensure all the billing & delivery counters managed well and managing the crowd
appropriately.
· Ensure to report the incident of medication errors / any errors, appropriate actions has been taken and maintain the record of RCA.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates prepare the bills on time with zero error.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates do the proper billing, picking, checking and cross checking
the items before dispensing.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates arrange the medicine according to the storage rack & maintain the sterilization of injectable medicines appropriately.
· Ensure all medicines are securely, appropriately stored and labeled.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates follow the cuts strip policy.
· Ensure the sub-ordinates to double check the high risk medicines.
· Ensure the stock receives from the stores has been verified and checked against the
transfer copy of Quantity, Rate, Batch No, Expiry, Damage and to be filed.
- Ensure the department staff adhere the timeline as per the allocated shift schedule,
verification of attendance, approval of leave & permission.
· Ensure to prepare the duty rota on a monthly basis and maintain allocation of staff
accordingly.
· Ensure the team members follow the dress code policy of the organization.
- Ensures to maintain safe and clean working environment by complying as per standard
operating protocols and team members follows the same.
