Job Summary
The Interior Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing residential and commercial interior projects. The role involves developing creative design solutions, preparing detailed drawings and presentations, coordinating with clients and vendors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and in line with the studio’s design standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Concept Development
- Develop innovative interior design concepts based on client requirements and project briefs.
- Create mood boards, space plans, 3D visualizations, and design presentations.
- Select color schemes, materials, furniture, lighting, and décor elements.
- Ensure designs align with functionality, aesthetics, and budget considerations.
Technical Drawings & Documentation
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts, elevations, and working drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Develop BOQs, material specifications, and furniture schedules.
- Coordinate with architects, site supervisors, and contractors for technical clarity.
Client Coordination
- Meet clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Present design concepts and incorporate client feedback.
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Execution & Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for procurement and execution.
- Visit project sites to monitor progress and ensure design intent is maintained.
- Resolve on-site design and execution issues promptly.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
Trend Research & Innovation
- Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies.
- Contribute creative ideas and innovative solutions to the studio’s design portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in interior design, preferably in a design studio or turnkey projects.
- A strong portfolio showcasing residential and/or commercial projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, or similar design software.
- Strong space planning and design visualization skills.
- Knowledge of materials, furniture, lighting, and construction details.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Quality and creativity of design concepts.
- Accuracy and timeliness of drawings and documentation.
- Client satisfaction and approval rates.
- Adherence to project timelines and budgets.
