Job description: laser cutting machine & laser marking machine operator
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Laser Cutting Machine & Laser Marking Machine Operator to operate, set up, and maintain laser cutting and laser marking machines. The candidate should be capable of troubleshooting machine faults, ensuring high-quality production, and minimizing machine downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set up Laser Cutting and Laser Marking machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and production work orders.
- Set machine parameters according to material and job specifications.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Replace consumables such as nozzles, lenses, and filters when required.
- Troubleshoot machine faults and resolve common issues related to the laser source, cutting/marking quality, gas pressure, focus, alignment, and machine alarms.
- Perform basic corrective actions and coordinate with the maintenance team for major mechanical or electrical issues.
- Create, edit, and manage marking files using EzCAD and other industry-standard software.
- Maintain production records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
Required Skills
- Experience operating Laser Cutting and Laser Marking machines.
- Must have good knowledge of EzCAD and industry-standard laser marking/cutting software.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
- Knowledge of CNC controls and machine parameter settings.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers and micrometers.
- Knowledge of laser cutting and marking on materials such as Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Brass.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- ITI or Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Electrical, or a related technical field.
Experience
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience operating Laser Cutting and Laser Marking machines.
- Experience in machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance is mandatory.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
