Job Summary:
The Hospital Receptionist is responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, managing appointments, handling inquiries, and ensuring smooth front-office operations while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and attendants professionally.
- Register new patients and maintain patient records accurately.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Guide patients regarding hospital services, departments, and procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for patient appointments and admissions.
- Collect registration fees and issue receipts as per hospital policy.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Handle patient complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
Required Qualifications:
- Any Bachelor's Degree or Diploma.
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Hospital Management Software).
- Good communication skills in Tamil and English.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
