Job Description
NephroOne Dialysis Centres is looking for a skilled and compassionate Dialysis Technician to join our dialysis care team. The candidate will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and high-quality dialysis treatment under the supervision of the nephrologist and clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate hemodialysis machines before, during, and after dialysis.
- Perform pre-dialysis and post-dialysis procedures as per hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients throughout the dialysis session and identify any complications promptly.
- Check and maintain dialysis machines, equipment, and necessary supplies.
- Assist with vascular access preparation and cannulation as per scope of practice.
- Maintain proper infection prevention and control practices.
- Monitor vital signs and patient condition during dialysis.
- Respond appropriately to dialysis-related emergencies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and dialysis treatment documentation.
- Follow RO water quality, machine disinfection, and dialysis unit safety protocols.
- Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of dialysis equipment and treatment areas.
- Maintain adequate stock of dialysis consumables and report shortages.
- Work collaboratively with dialysis nurses, nephrologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Relevant experience in a dialysis unit preferred.
- Freshers with appropriate qualifications may also be considered.
- Good knowledge of hemodialysis procedures and infection control.
- Good communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work in a team and handle emergency situations.
