JOB TITLE: Textile Merchandiser & Design Coordinator
Location: Surat
Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹25,000 per month
About Us
We are a Surat-based dupatta manufacturing and supply business catering to corporate clients, wholesalers, and kurti manufacturers across India.
We are looking for a practical and responsible candidate who can coordinate with suppliers, understand market trends, assist in product development, and maintain strong communication with buyers.
This is NOT a desk-only designing role. We need someone who can take ownership of product development and order execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new dupatta concepts based on market demand and customer requirements
- Suggest matching dupatta ideas, fabrics, colors, prints, and embellishments to kurti manufacturers
- Coordinate with suppliers for sampling, production, dyeing, printing, embroidery, and dispatch
- Take daily follow-ups with suppliers and job workers to ensure timelines are met
- Communicate with buyers regarding requirements, approvals, and order updates
- Maintain records of samples, orders, approvals, and production status
- Identify market trends and provide practical product suggestions
- Assist in launching new collections and seasonal developments
- Visit suppliers or markets when required
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in textiles, ethnic wear, dupattas, dress materials, kurtis, or merchandising
- Good understanding of fabrics such as rayon, cotton, muslin, georgette, chiffon, silk blends, etc.
- Comfortable speaking with suppliers and buyers on phone and WhatsApp
- Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
- Ability to understand what sells in the market rather than only creating artistic designs
- Basic computer knowledge is sufficient
- CorelDRAW or Illustrator knowledge is helpful but NOT mandatory

Salary
