We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Laravel Developer to join our development team in Kozhikode. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting web applications using Laravel and PHP. The role involves working with the development team to build reliable, secure, and user-friendly applications while gaining hands-on experience in backend development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using Laravel and PHP.
- Create and maintain REST APIs for application integration.
- Develop database-driven applications using PostgreSQL.
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
- Implement CRUD operations and business requirements.
- Work with Laravel Eloquent ORM and database migrations.
- Perform basic application testing and debugging.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
- Use Git for source code management and version control.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members.
- Learn and adopt new technologies and development practices.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in PHP/Laravel development or relevant project experience.
- Basic to good understanding of Laravel and PHP.
- Basic understanding of PHP OOP concepts, including classes, inheritance, interfaces, and traits.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Familiarity with Laravel concepts such as Eloquent ORM, migrations, routing, middleware, and validation.
- Basic knowledge of Git.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Laravel Sanctum or API authentication.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working on academic, personal, or real-world Laravel projects.
- Basic understanding of Linux/server environments is an advantage.
