Job Description
- Review Plans and Specifications:
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans to ensure compliance with MEP requirements.
- Verify that designs meet applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
- Manage Subordinate Staff:
- Supervise and oversee the work of subordinate engineers and designers.
- Coordinate with architects, other engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare Plans and Specifications:
- Develop detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for MEP systems including plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning), and general piping systems.
- Provide Technical Advice:
- Offer technical guidance and expertise to staff designers, supervisors, inspectors, and contractors regarding installation, operation, and maintenance of MEP systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering problems related to MEP systems.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize software tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction project management software.
- Assess and approve technical proposals and subcontractor selections related to MEP systems.
- Site Supervision and Inspection:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to approved designs, specifications, and safety standards.
- Monitor and report on MEP installations, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Health and Safety:
- Promote and enforce health and safety practices on construction sites.
- Report any safety breaches and take necessary actions to ensure compliance.
- Testing and Commissioning:
- Witness and evaluate MEP systems testing procedures (e.g., pressure tests, duct leakage tests).
- Review and approve testing and commissioning results.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of MEP activities, including defects, inspections, and approvals.
- Prepare reports, engineer’s instructions, and operation manuals as required.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on MEP progress and issues.
- Collaborate with the Project Director and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project milestones are met.
- Quality Assurance:
- Identify and manage MEP system defects and deficiencies.
- Conduct final inspections and snagging activities to ensure quality deliverables.
- Cost Control:
- Monitor and advise on variable costs related to MEP systems during project execution.
- Review contractor claims and proposed cost variations related to MEP works.
- Commissioning and Handover:
- Oversee final testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Review and approve Operation and Maintenance manuals from contractors.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
