Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Research Analyst to join our Pharma/Life Sciences Competitive Intelligence team. The role will support project teams in identifying, gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing relevant market, clinical, regulatory, and competitive intelligence.
The Senior Research Analyst will work closely with Assistant Managers and senior team members and will be responsible for ensuring that research outputs are accurate, insightful, well-structured, and client-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report key market, competitor, clinical, regulatory, and strategic developments
- Develop and refine search strategies, keywords, and source lists for effective intelligence gathering
- Assess relevance of developments, validate and triangulate information across sources, and summarize findings with clear story flow and key takeaways
- Conduct secondary research using pharmaceutical databases, clinical trial registries, regulatory sources, scientific literature, company disclosures, and conference materials
- Support CI monitoring, conference coverage, clinical trial trackers, knowledge books, competitive landscapes, and ad-hoc research
- Build strong understanding of disease areas, treatment landscapes, competitors, assets, mechanisms of action, clinical programs, and market dynamics
- Contribute observations and insights during project discussions
- Support preparation of client-ready presentations, trackers, reports, alerts, and executive summaries
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, source traceability, and quality across deliverables
- Leverage AI-enabled research and productivity tools to improve research, synthesis, quality checks, and recurring workflows
- Progress toward advanced analytical work, independent content development, and ownership of defined workstreams
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/life sciences Competitive Intelligence
- Hands-on experience with CI monitoring and conference coverage
- Experience in Oncology is preferred
- Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development, clinical trials, regulatory milestones, competitive landscapes, and key industry events.
- Experience using pharma databases, clinical trial registries, scientific literature, company disclosures, and other secondary research sources.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to identify relevant findings, trends, and implications
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management
- Good organizational, time management and priority setting skills, and the flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Familiarity with Gen AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms for research and productivity use cases
- Ability and willingness to experiment with AI tools, validate AI-generated outputs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and build new research solutions
- Continuous improvement and innovation mindset with responsible use of AI
