Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute database purging and archival strategies.
- Analyze large databases and identify redundant or historical data for cleanup activities.
- Create and optimize stored procedures, functions, views, and SQL scripts.
- Perform query tuning and database performance optimization.
- Work closely with application and infrastructure teams during execution activities.
- Ensure data integrity, backup validation, and rollback planning before purging activities.
- Monitor database health, execution logs, and performance metrics.
- Support deployment activities and production issue resolution.
- Prepare technical documentation and execution reports.
Required Technical Skills : Strong experience in:
Microsoft SQL Server
Stored Procedures
Functions, Views, Triggers
Query Optimization
Execution Plan Analysis
Indexing and Performance Tuning
SQL Jobs and Scheduling
Database Backup and Restore
Good understanding of:
Database Archival Strategies
Data Migration Activities
High-volume transactional databases
SSMS and SQL scripting
