Position: Technology Manager – E-commerce & Digital Platforms

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Technology Manager to lead and oversee all technology functions across our e-commerce and retail ecosystem.
This is not just a project management role. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical foundation and prior experience as a developer, capable of understanding, troubleshooting, and contributing to development work when required. They will act as the bridge between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that all digital platforms, integrations, automations, and software systems operate efficiently and continue to evolve alongside the business.
The role will oversee our in-house technology team, external development partners, and all core business systems including ERP, e-commerce, CRM, mobile applications, integrations, reporting, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership & Ownership
- Own and oversee the company’s complete technology ecosystem.
- Lead the in-house technology team and manage external developers, agencies, and software partners.
- Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure scalability, security, reliability, and performance across all systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all technology-related decisions and problem-solving.
ERP & Business Systems Management
- Own and manage the ongoing development, optimisation, and maintenance of Odoo ERP.
- Oversee all ERP modules including inventory, purchasing, finance, CRM, POS, reporting, logistics, and customer management.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement across departments.
- Manage integrations between ERP and other platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues quickly and effectively.
E-commerce Platform Management
- Oversee Magento and all associated e-commerce technologies.
- Manage platform performance, functionality, scalability, and security.
- Lead the development and implementation of new features and enhancements.
- Ensure smooth integration between Magento, Odoo, payment gateways, logistics systems, CRM platforms, and third-party applications.
- Monitor site performance, uptime, and customer experience.
Application Development & Digital Products
- Oversee development and maintenance of customer-facing and internal mobile applications.
- Work closely with designers and developers to improve functionality and user experience.
- Ensure best practices are followed in architecture, coding standards, deployment, and testing.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies where beneficial.
Automation & Process Optimisation
- Identify manual processes that can be automated.
- Design and implement workflow automations across departments.
- Improve operational efficiency through technology solutions.
- Drive adoption of AI, automation tools, and workflow enhancements where appropriate.
Technical Troubleshooting & Development Oversight
- Act as the senior escalation point for technical issues.
- Diagnose, investigate, and resolve complex bugs and system issues.
- Review code quality and technical architecture.
- Ensure proper documentation of systems, integrations, APIs, and workflows.
- Maintain development best practices including version control, testing, deployment, and security standards.
UI/UX & Customer Experience
- Possess a strong understanding of user experience principles.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to improve customer journeys.
- Review website and app functionality from both technical and user perspectives.
- Drive continuous improvements to conversion, navigation, speed, and usability.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
- Ensure accurate data flow across all systems.
- Oversee reporting infrastructure and business intelligence tools.
- Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks that support operational and commercial decision-making.
- Maintain data integrity and governance standards.
Technical Skills & Requirements
Essential
- 8+ years of experience in software development, technology management, or digital product development.
- Strong hands-on development background.
- Deep understanding of web technologies and software architecture.
- Extensive experience with:
- Magento
- Odoo ERP
- APIs and system integrations
- Database management (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
- Web development frameworks
- Mobile application development
- Cloud hosting environments
- Strong understanding of:
- Automation tools
- Security best practices
- Performance optimisation
- DevOps processes
- Deployment and release management
- Experience managing both in-house and outsourced development teams.
Preferred
- Experience within retail, luxury retail, fashion, or e-commerce businesses.
- Experience implementing ERP and e-commerce projects.
- Knowledge of AI tools, workflow automation platforms, and modern digital ecosystems.
- Familiarity with CRM, POS, loyalty, and omnichannel retail systems.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
