Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Counsellor with a strong sales mindset to guide parents throughout their school admission journey. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, experience in sales or counselling, and the ability to understand parents' requirements while recommending suitable schools and admission solutions. The role involves
converting leads into successful admissions through effective consultation and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect with parents through calls and follow-ups to understand their school admission requirements.
- Provide personalized guidance on school selection based on location, budget, curriculum, and other preferences.
- Counsel parents about admission processes, documentation, timelines, and school offerings.
- Convert leads into admissions by effectively addressing parent queries and building trust.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective parents to ensure high conversion rates. Manage and update lead information accurately in the CRM system. Coordinate with partner schools regarding admissions, seat availability, and parent queries.
- Build strong relationships with parents by delivering an exceptional counseling experience.
- Achieve monthly sales, counseling, and conversion targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth admission process for parents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in sales, counselling, admissions, customer success, inside sales, or tele-counselling.
- Prior sales experience is mandatory, preferably in lead conversion or consultative sales. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Kannada (mandatory).
- Hindi communication skills will be an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle multiple parent inquiries and prioritize tasks effectively. Basic knowledge of CRM tools and MS Excel.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and customer-focused.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the education, edtech, or school admissions industry.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and customer support tools.
- Experience handling inbound and outbound sales calls.
- Proven track record of achieving sales or conversion targets.
