Position: Compliance Manager for an Overseas Transport Company

1. Regulatory Knowledge and Expertise:
NHVR Compliance: In-depth understanding of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) requirements and regulations, especially relating to Chain of Responsibility (CoR). Please note: The NHVR is a regulatory body established under the Heavy Vehicle National Law 2012 in Australia, so having detailed knowledge of it may not be practicable. However, prior to the interview, the candidate should have a good understanding of this Regulatory Compliance by their own research. The company is an accredited entity under Basic Fatigue Management, Maintenance Management, and Mass Management within the NHVAS (National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme). We expect candidates to have a minimum level of knowledge in these areas before attending the interview.
Interpretation skills: The candidate must have the Interpretational skills and good understanding in different types of Interpretations such as Literal, Golden Rule interpretation, Mischief Rule Interpretation, Ejusdem Generis etc.
Fatigue Management: Knowledge of fatigue management systems and the ability to monitor and maintain accurate rosters for drivers to ensure compliance. Refer the link given below for more understanding.
Transport Law: Familiarity with transport laws, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Audit Standards: Strong knowledge of different audit types, including ISO, Social, Ethical (SMETA), and other industry-specific audits.
Drafting Skills: The candidate must have the Drafting skills in terms of framing policies and procedures in line with the applicable Laws requirement on a Company. Drafting of the process of Management systems.
Rostering and Scheduling: Experience in managing driver schedules and rosters, ensuring fatigue management systems are adhered to.
Risk Management: Ability to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Ethical Auditing: Knowledge of ethical auditing processes and how they relate to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the company’s public image.
Social Audits: Experience in conducting or preparing for social audits, ensuring the company’s operations align with ethical standards.
2. Qualifications and Certifications:
The candidate must have at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience in the field of Compliance.
The candidate must have a Law Graduate degree from a reputed university.
Additional qualifications such as Company Secretary or Chartered An accountant, along with a law degree, will be preferred.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
