Job Summary
The Secondary Hindi Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective Hindi language instruction to students in Grades 6–10, fostering proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, grammar, and literature. The teacher will create a positive learning environment, promote critical thinking, and support students' academic and personal development in alignment with the school's curriculum and educational philosophy.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Hindi lessons aligned with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
- Teach Hindi language skills, including reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and oral communication.
- Develop students' appreciation for Hindi literature, poetry, and culture.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, worksheets, and digital learning resources.
- Assess student performance through classwork, assignments, projects, oral assessments, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, and student progress.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Create an engaging, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication through interactive learning activities.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help students improve.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, board examinations, and competitive language assessments where applicable.
- Manage classroom discipline while promoting mutual respect and positive behavior.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic progress and overall development.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, professional development programs, and school events.
- Organize and support literary activities such as debates, storytelling, poetry recitation, essay writing, and Hindi language competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum planning and interdisciplinary learning.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, child safeguarding guidelines, and academic standards.
- Perform examination duties, invigilation, and other academic responsibilities assigned by the school.
- Contribute to the overall development and well-being of students through mentoring and guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hindi or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Master's Degree in Hindi is preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school (preferred).
- Strong command of spoken and written Hindi.
- Knowledge of CBSE, Cambridge, ICSE, or State Board curriculum (as applicable).
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital teaching platforms.
