Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and disciplined Electrical Panel Technician to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming engineering blueprints into high-quality, functional control panels. This role requires a "perfectionist" approach to wiring, ensuring every cable is routed cleanly, identified correctly, and executed according to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of Engineering Designs: Read and interpret complex electrical wiring diagrams, GA (General Arrangement) drawings, and SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) to execute panel layouts.
- Panel Wiring & Assembly: Perform end-to-end wiring for LT (Low Tension) and HT (High Tension) panels, including busbar mounting and component placement.
- Cabling & Glanding: Expertly handle armoured and unarmoured cabling. This includes precise stripping, glanding, and dressing of cables entering/exiting the panel.
- Identification & Precision: Execute "clean-room" style wire routing. Ensure 100% accuracy in ferruling, tagging, and identification of all wires and components.
- Instrumentation: Handle sensitive instrument cabling with a focus on signal integrity and proper shielding/earthing.
- Site Support: Occasionally travel to client sites for installation, commissioning support, or troubleshooting of panels.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–7 years of hands-on experience in industrial panel building (Power Control Centers, Motor Control Centers, or PLC Panels).
- Drawing Literacy: Must be able to read and "visualize" a 2D engineering drawing into a 3D physical layout without constant supervision.
- Tool Proficiency: Expert use of crimping tools, torque wrenches, ferrule printers, and multi-meters.
- Standards Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and neatness standards (proper use of cable ducts, combs, and ties).
Soft Skills & Physical Requirements
- Integrity: We value honesty and transparency above all else. You will be trusted with high-value components and critical deadlines.
- Hardworking Nature: Ability to work on the shop floor, meet production targets, and maintain focus during intricate wiring tasks.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to various project sites within India as per project requirements.
- Attention to Detail: A "right-first time" attitude to minimize rework during the testing phase.
