We are seeking an experienced Accountant who is highly proficient in Tally and possesses a strong understanding of Indian taxation laws. Because we deal extensively in international travel, the ideal candidate must have specific knowledge of Tax Collected at Source (TCS) on overseas tour packages, alongside standard GST and TDS compliances.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Accounting: Record and manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, using Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9.
- Taxation & Compliance: * Accurately calculate, deduct, and deposit TCS (Tax Collected at Source) applicable to international tour packages as per current Indian tax regulations.
- Manage GST calculations, invoicing, and timely filing of GST returns.
- Handle TDS deductions, payments, and return filings.
- Invoicing & Reconciliation: Generate accurate invoices for clients and travel partners. Perform regular bank reconciliations and vendor ledger reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
- Audit Preparation: Maintain proper physical and digital records of all financial documents to ensure smooth internal and external audits.
- Forex Management: Track and manage foreign exchange transactions related to international bookings and vendor payments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) or a related financial field.
- Experience: Proven experience (2-4 years) working as an Accountant, preferably within the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on, expert-level experience with Tally (Tally Prime preferred) and MS Excel.
- Taxation Knowledge: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of the Indian tax system, with a mandatory understanding of TCS rules for international travel, GST, and Income Tax provisions.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet strict financial deadlines.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
