A General Duty Assistant (GDA) is a frontline healthcare worker who supports doctors and nurses to ensure patients receive safe, daily care. They are the backbone of ward and clinic operations, managing basic medical assistance, hygiene, and patient mobility. [1, 2]Core Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities like bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and using the washroom. [1, 2]
- Vitals & Monitoring: Help nurses measure vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and immediately report any changes in the patient's condition. [1, 2]
- Mobility & Transport: Safely lift, transfer, or transport patients in and out of bed, to wheelchairs, stretchers, or other hospital departments. [1, 2]
- Medical Support: Prepare beds, sterilize equipment, and assist nurses during basic medical procedures. [1, 2]
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure patient rooms are clean, manage biomedical waste, and follow infection control protocols
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
