Job Description – Adult Physiotherapist
Position: Adult Physiotherapist
Department: NEST Pain and Palliative Care
Location: Koyilandy, Kozhikode, Kerala
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred
Qualification: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) or Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)
Key Responsibilities
- Assess adult and geriatric patients and develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans.
- Provide physiotherapy interventions for neurological, orthopedic, musculoskeletal, post-operative, and palliative care patients.
- Conduct home visits for physiotherapy services as per the assigned schedule.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, posture correction, and preventive care.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient assessment reports, treatment records, and daily documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure adherence to infection control practices, patient safety standards, and organizational protocols.
- Participate in community outreach programs, health camps, awareness initiatives, and rehabilitation activities when required.
- Submit daily treatment reports and other departmental documentation on time.
Eligibility Criteria
- BPT or MPT from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel for home care visits.
- Basic computer knowledge for documentation and reporting.
