Job Summary
The RF Radio Installation Engineer – Technical will be responsible for installation, alignment, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Point-to-Point (P2P), Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP), and UBR radio systems operating in licensed and unlicensed frequency bands.
The role requires strong practical understanding of RF systems, wireless networking, antenna systems, frequency planning, and field deployments across telecom, defence, mining, and oil & gas operational environments.
The candidate will work on modern wireless communication technologies supporting high-capacity data networks up to 8 Gbps throughput.
Key Responsibilities
RF Radio Installation & Commissioning
- Install, align, commission, and maintain RF radio systems including:
- Point-to-Point (P2P)
- Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP)
- UBR Wireless Radios| WIMAX |LTE | HIGH SPEED Radio
- Configure and troubleshoot wireless backhaul and RF communication systems
- Perform antenna installation, alignment, RF tuning, and link optimization
- Support field integration and deployment activities
RF & Network Engineering
- Perform RF planning and frequency planning for wireless deployments
- Work on:
- MIMO & SISO technologies
- 2x2 and 4x4 MIMO systems
- Wireless throughput optimization
- Link budget calculations
- Handle Layer-2 networking and VLAN configurations
- Configure:
- VLAN
- Trunking
- IP addressing
- Network switching basics
- L3 Network integration
Wireless Standards & Technologies
- Good understanding of:
- IEEE Standards
- Wi-Fi Standards
- 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax technologies
- Work with different antenna types including:
- Omni antennas
- Sector antennas
- Dish antennas
- Directional antennas
- Support high-speed wireless links with data rates up to 8 Gbps
Radio Systems Exposure
- Experience working on Motorola DMR Radios in UHF Band
- Understanding of RF communication systems used in:
- Defence
- Oil & Gas
- Mining
- Telecom
- Critical Infrastructure
Field Deployment & Support
- Travel to customer and project locations for installation and support
- Work in remote and challenging environments including:
- Oil & Gas sites
- Mining areas
- Industrial zones
- Defence operational locations
- Coordinate with project managers, OEM teams, and customer representatives
