About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Corporate Lawyer with 2+ years of experience in civil matters to join our legal team in Kochi.
This is a global-facing role; therefore, the ideal candidate must possess exceptional English communication skills and the ability to manage complex matters with a high degree of independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Handle civil litigation and non-litigation matters independently.
- Drafting: Prepare and review a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, notices, affidavits, and agreements.
- Representation: Represent clients effectively before civil courts, tribunals, and other relevant legal authorities.
- Research & Advisory: Conduct thorough legal research, stay updated on regulatory changes, and provide risk assessments for global clients and internal teams.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, organized records of case files and professional client communications.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: LLB degree from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 2+ years of active experience in civil law practice.
- Specialized Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of estate planning tools, including Wills, trusts, gifts, and HUF structures.
- Core Competencies:
- Strong technical understanding of civil laws, procedures, and documentation.
- Proven experience in drafting Wills and advising on inheritance laws and property transfers.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse portfolio of cases simultaneously.
- Communication: Exceptional command of the English language is mandatory.
