Location: Industrial Dry Waste Management Plant
Reporting To: Plant Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Operation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, manpower management, material handling, and processing activities while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role focuses on maximizing productivity, maintaining operational efficiency, and achieving production targets in the dry waste management and recycling plant.
Key Responsibilities Operations Management
· Supervise day-to-day plant operations, including sorting, segregation, baling, grinding, and dispatch activities.
· Ensure smooth processing of dry waste materials as per operational plans.
· Monitor plant performance and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
· Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime.
· Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, equipment, and plant resources.
Manpower Management
· Manage operators, shift staff, and labor teams across all shifts.
· Allocate manpower based on operational requirements.
· Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance of workers.
· Conduct shift handovers and daily operational briefings.
Material Management
· Monitor incoming and outgoing material quantities and quality.
· Ensure proper segregation, storage, and inventory management of recyclable materials.
· Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Safety & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, statutory requirements, and plant regulations.
· Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
· Promote the use of PPE and safe working practices.
· Report and investigate operational incidents, accidents, and near-miss events.
Quality Control
· Ensure processed materials meet customer and company quality standards.
· Monitor contamination levels and improve segregation efficiency.
· Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve quality and productivity.
Reporting & Documentation
· Prepare daily production, dispatch, manpower, and inventory reports.
· Maintain records of plant operations, downtime, incidents, and material movement.
· Submit operational updates and performance reports to management regularly.
Required Qualifications
· Graduate in any discipline.
· 2–3 years of experience in waste management, recycling, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
· Experience in handling manpower and shift-based operations.
Required Skills
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Knowledge of waste management and recycling processes.
· Good communication and coordination abilities.
· Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Knowledge of safety standards and industrial best practices.
