Qualification Experience:
1. Graduate in any field. Specialization in Social Work will be an added advantage.
2. 10+ years of relevant experience in development or educational activities with underserved communities.
3. Experience in Child & Parent Outreach programmes and/or Community Mobilization is preferred.
About the Role
The Counsellor plays a key role in connecting the school, parents, and the community to support a child’s overall development. Through interactive sessions, they provide parents with practical knowledge to better understand and support their child’s academic, social, and emotional needs,both at home and school. Each session offers clear, actionable ideas and defines the roles of parents, fostering collaboration and shared responsibility with the school. By building awareness and confidence of the parent, the Counsellor empowers them to actively contribute to their child’s progress and well-being, creating a strong support system for the child.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting parent meetings in a large group to address important themes for the overall development of the child.
2. Facilitate interactive meetings which include activities to engage parents with the support of the school and the DMart Foundation staff.
3. Identify needs and challenges of the parents through such meetings to build relevant topicsfor further meetings.
4. Research and create plans for the meeting with the program team to maximise parent’s involvement helping them make informed choices for their children.
