Role Summary
The Assistant Market Manager – International Markets will be responsible for supporting international hotel accounts through operational coordination, account support, competitive benchmarking, and rate plan optimization. The role will work closely with Market Managers and hotel partners to improve supplier performance, resolve operational issues, and enhance rate competitiveness across international markets.
The position will act as a key support function between hotel partners and internal teams including Contracting, Connectivity, Operations, and Finance to ensure smooth business execution and marketplace efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Account Support & Supplier Coordination

Support Market Managers in handling assigned international hotel accounts and chains.
- Coordinate with hotel partners for operational requirements, promotions, inventory updates, and contract follow-ups.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers / Market Manager to ensure smooth business continuity.
Assist in onboarding new hotel partners and account activation processes.

Competitive Monitoring & Market Analysis

Monitor competitor pricing and market competitiveness across assigned destinations.
- Identify rate gaps, availability issues, and promotional opportunities.
- Share market intelligence and pricing observations with Market Managers for corrective actions.
Support tactical activities during high-demand and peak travel periods.

Rate Plan Optimization

Coordinate with hotels for optimization of rate plans, room mappings, and promotional offers.
- Ensure correct implementation of contracted offers and tactical promotions.
- Support improvement of hotel visibility and conversion performance through competitive pricing strategies.
Monitor static and dynamic contract performance.

Operational Coordination

Work closely with Connectivity, Loading, Finance, and Support teams for issue resolution.
- Handle operational escalations related to mapping, sold-out issues, booking discrepancies, rate mismatch, and stop-sales.
- Ensure timely closure of pending operational tasks and supplier follow-ups.
Maintain tracker updates and operational MIS reports.

Performance & Business Support

Monitor production trends and supplier contribution.
- Identify low-performing accounts and support recovery initiatives.
- Assist in improving share of wallet from key international suppliers.
Support strategic account optimization initiatives.

Preferred Experience

Experience in hotel contracting, international supply, OTA operations, or account management
- Exposure to international hotel markets preferred (UAE, ME, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia.)
