JOB PURPOSE:
The Forward Deployment Engineer, Marketing bridges advanced technology solutions and practical marketing application. This role works directly with Marketing teams to deploy AI, automation, data, and digital capabilities that improve campaign execution, customer engagement, content workflows, personalization, and marketing effectiveness.
The role translates business needs into deployed, usable solutions by partnering with Marketing, Digital Technology, Data and Analytics, AI, Security, Legal, and other cross-functional teams. The Forward Deployment Engineer ensures solutions are implemented responsibly, adopted by users, integrated into existing workflows, and scaled where business value is proven.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Marketing Technology Deployment

Partner with Marketing teams to understand business needs, workflow challenges, and opportunities for AI, automation, and digital enablement.

Deploy practical solutions that support campaign planning, content creation, customer segmentation, personalization, performance reporting, and marketing operations.

Translate marketing requirements into clear technical needs, solution designs, and deployment plans.

Ensure deployed solutions are usable, scalable, and aligned with Marketing priorities.
Pilot and Proof-of-Concept Execution

Lead or support the design, testing, and deployment of pilots and proofs of concept for marketing use cases.

Define success criteria, expected business outcomes, user adoption measures, and evaluation methods.

Work with Marketing stakeholders to test solutions in real-world processes before broader rollout.

Recommend whether pilots should be scaled, refined, paused, or retired based on business value, feasibility, risk, and adoption.
AI and Automation Enablement for Marketing

Support the responsible deployment of AI-enabled tools and capabilities across Marketing.

Identify where AI and automation can improve speed, quality, consistency, insight generation, or customer experience.

Help Marketing teams understand how to use AI tools effectively and responsibly in day-to-day work.

Partner with AI, Data, Security, and Legal teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards.
Cross-Functional Partnership

Act as a bridge between Marketing, Digital Technology, AI Engineering, Data and Analytics, Product, Security, Legal, and external vendors where applicable.

Translate technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for Marketing stakeholders.

Translate Marketing needs into actionable requirements for technical teams.

Influence decisions through expertise, credibility, strong business understanding, and practical delivery focus.
Marketing Data, Insights, and Workflow Integration

Support deployment of solutions that improve access to marketing insights, performance data, audience intelligence, and campaign measurement.

Help integrate new tools and AI-enabled capabilities into existing marketing platforms, workflows, and reporting processes.

Identify data, process, or platform gaps that may limit solution effectiveness.

Collaborate with stakeholders to improve adoption, usability, and operational fit.
Risk, Governance, and Responsible Use

Identify risks related to privacy, security, data use, brand protection, customer communications, compliance, and responsible AI.

Ensure marketing technology solutions align with enterprise governance, data privacy, and responsible technology standards.

Support documentation, reviews, approvals, and change management activities required for controlled deployment.

Promote ethical use of customer, consumer, brand, and employee data.
Adoption, Change Enablement, and Knowledge Sharing

Develop practical enablement materials, playbooks, user guidance, and training support for Marketing teams.

Help users understand what is changing, why it matters, and how to use new capabilities effectively.

Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to improve deployed solutions.

Share learnings, reusable patterns, and best practices that can support future Marketing technology deployments.

Successful deployment of AI, automation, data, and digital solutions that address clear Marketing business needs.

Pilots and proofs of concept are evaluated using defined success criteria and clear business outcomes.

Marketing teams adopt new tools and capabilities effectively.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Marketing, Business, Data and Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in technology deployment, marketing technology, digital transformation, data and analytics, AI enablement, or related roles.

Strong understanding of marketing processes, including campaign planning, content workflows, customer segmentation, personalization, performance measurement, or marketing operations.

Experience deploying technology solutions with business teams in a practical, hands-on environment.

Experience with AI, automation, data platforms, marketing technology, customer engagement tools, or digital platforms preferred.

Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and technical concepts into clear business language.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Demonstrated ability to balance innovation, user adoption, risk, and operational realities.

Experience working in a global or matrixed enterprise environment preferred.

Understanding of privacy, security, compliance, responsible AI, and data governance considerations preferred.
