Vigilant is expanding its sales team with an immediate opening for a Business Development Representative. This individual will develop and qualify relationships with prospective new customers, present Vigilant Technologies, solutions, and services, and schedule/support introductory meetings with Vigilant sales representatives.
Additionally, you will be responsible for generating new business through outbound calls and social media referrals.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with prospects to achieve goals
- Reaching out to and qualifying leads through outbound calling and social media
- Maintaining, qualifying, and growing existing leads
- Promoting the company products and services
- Scheduling and hosting customer introduction meetings with Vigilant sales and following-up on a timely basis to develop opportunities.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum – 5-6 years of proven experience in a business development role, preferably in the Information Technology field.
- B2B, Tech sales experience preferred
- Experience with CRM software
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to deliver results
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to identify opportunities and to develop and implement effective sales, strategies.
This position may be remote, working East Coast hours or a hybrid role with 2 days in our Troy, MI office (preferred for initial training, planning and ramp-up)
