Job Title: Production Manager – Green Sand Foundry
Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring all green sand foundry operations to achieve production targets while ensuring quality, safety, cost control, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and achieve daily production targets.
- Oversee sand plant, moulding, core making, melting, pouring, knockout, and fettling operations.
- Ensure compliance with quality, process, and safety standards.
- Monitor productivity, rejection, yield, and downtime.
- Optimize manpower, machines, and material utilization.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Stores.
- Drive Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze production reports and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and lead production supervisors and operators.
- Ensure statutory and environmental compliance.
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering.
8–15 years of foundry experience, including managerial experience.
