Job Summary:
The NOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting network and security infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and protection of enterprise systems. This role emphasizes handling security-related issues across firewalls, load balancers, SDN, ZTNA, and overall security posture management.
Key Responsibilities

Firewall Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewall policies to safeguard network traffic.

Load Balancer Operations: Ensure optimal distribution of traffic across servers, maintaining uptime and performance.

SDN(SDWAN) Administration: Manage software-defined networking environments, ensuring (load balance & failover) availability, scalability and security compliance.

ZTNA Implementation: Deploy and maintain Zero Trust Network Access solutions to enforce secure access controls.

Security Posture Monitoring: Continuously assess and strengthen the organization’s security posture through proactive monitoring and remediation.

Incident Response: Detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents, escalating when necessary.

Network Monitoring: Use monitoring tools to track performance, availability, and security threats in real time.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.

Collaboration: Work closely with SOC, IT, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), load balancers (F5, Citrix), SDN solutions, and ZTNA platforms.

Security Knowledge: Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and best practices.

Networking Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and DNS.

Monitoring Tools: Experience with tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, or equivalent.

Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve network and security issues.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for incident reporting and collaboration.

Certifications: Preferred certifications include CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, CISSP, or equivalent.
