Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Smart DT Meter Installation Master Technician to lead the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Distribution Transformer (DT) smart meters and AMI infrastructure across Punjab. The role involves supervising field teams, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with DISCOMs for successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission DT meters, 3-phase meters, and CT/PT metering systems.
- Configure communication devices, NIC modules, and RF/4G connectivity.
- Supervise field technicians and ensure quality installation standards.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and meter testing.
- Enforce electrical safety procedures and Permit-to-Work (PTW) compliance.
- Coordinate with DISCOM engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Verify field data, meter replacement records, and material reconciliation.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in power distribution, smart metering, or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of transformer metering, CT/PT systems, and AMI networks.
- Proficiency with testing equipment such as multimeters, CT ratio testers, and crimping tools.
- Ability to lead teams and manage field operations independently.
- High-voltage safety certification preferred.
