The 110 kV Substation Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of high-voltage electrical substations. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, system reliability, and compliance with electrical safety standards.
- Operate and monitor 110 kV substation equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, relays)
- Perform switching operations as per standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor load conditions, voltage levels, and system performance
- Identify faults and take corrective actions or escalate issues
- Maintain logbooks and operational records
- Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance
- Coordinate with load dispatch centers and maintenance teams
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules and regulations
- Handle emergency situations such as power failures or equipment faults
